Our Community Anthology
We are incredibly excited to unveil our much-anticipated community anthology, Threads of Palestine Anthology: Weaving Words of Witness. This was a passion project born out of our “Poems for Palestine” contest in December 2023. 100% of the proceeds for this anthology go toward the Zakat Foundation of America, which is doing crucial aid work in Gaza.
A note for international consumers outside the U.S.: This book should be available to purchase online in the following countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Unfortunately, House of Amal is unable to provide specific links for international purchases of the paperback. The link below for “International: Purchase Paperback” will take you to a Google page that will populate your search engine with relevant links based on your location. Local distributors and book stores in the above countries should have acquired these for online purchase. We will continue to update this page if anything changes.
Finally, we request that you refrain from purchasing this book on Amazon, and instead purchase it from a local bookseller in your area. We have boycotted Amazon and request that you do too, for the sake of our Palestinian brethren and to support local booksellers, whom Amazon has consistently put out of business.
Synopsis:
In Threads of Palestine Anthology, presented by House of Amal, the voices of poets across the world unite in a collection compiled after October 7th, 2023, that captures the grief, resilience, and hope of a better world. It is not only a literary tribute but also a piece of cultural preservation and act of protest, breathing life into the grief that is ignored and silenced by the world, to preserve for future generations. This anthology assembles diverse perspectives to explore themes of heritage, loss, and injustice. Through powerful verse and poignant storytelling, each poet invites readers into a shared journey — one that echoes both the spirit of the Palestinian people, as well as voices around the world that chant for their freedom. With intimate reflections on family, land, displacement, and survival, the poems transcend boundaries and speak to the universal struggles for freedom and justice. Threads of Palestine Anthology is an invitation to empathy, a testament to enduring strength, and a rallying cry for solidarity with, and action for, Palestine and its people.
